Ragnar naess

Born: 1942, Morristown NJ. Education: Putney School, Stanford U. (AB History). Art Training with Marguerite Wildenhain at Pond Farm Pottery.

Naess wishes to discover where a lifetime making clay objects leads. Making pottery joins love of architecture and wish to hand make small beautiful objects for daily life, reasonably priced, unlike fine architecture. His pots are widespread in private and museum collections including the Smithsonian and Newark Museum of Art. Naess explores sculptural visions in abstract forms and the fanciful alter-ego "Bubble," from "Jester," to "Bubble Climbs a Tree," to "Bubble Contemplates the Gateless Gate.
